That's a good looking Cadillac!

Did you ever experiment with the 472/500?

No. I have a friend that went that route on 2 cars. Low 10s was all he got in 77 and a 79 coupe devilles. The 79 got a BBC the 77 has a twin turbo LSX. My goal was 9s and drive like a stock car. And it does that for sure.

LS2 block with a 4" stroke, 11.7:1 compression, Mast heads, BTR cam, i ported the blower. 4l80e trans with a 1800 stall 13" converter that is actually a little too tight, 8.5 10 bolt out of a 96 caprice with moser axles and eaton posi unit. 12lbs of boost. Everything in the car works as it should except for the cruise. I removed the bars that the cruise was mounted on. Car weighs 4105 with me in it.

I was involved in the Caddy 500 world in the early to mid Y2K years. Have a 500 in my Jeep. 10 seconds sounds about right. Anything faster requires either a huge diet, many $$$'s, or both. There was an interesting Fox body Mustang with junkyard 500 & N2O that made it into the 9's for not much money.
