After 16 years it happened; I lost the GN in a fire.
Wife's SUV, garage, spare parts & tools all toast also.
No one was hurt and the insurance company (American Family) has been very helpful.
Make sure you are covered, you never know...
Thanks to all here for the help and support all these years.
I'll be going down the LS Corvette road next.

That's horrible. I can't stop looking.sorry for the loss.

Tragic, luckily no one was hurt. I hope you are able to rebuild and replace most of what you've lost. I'm glad it wasn't worse seeing the proximity of the fire to the house.

Holy crap!! I always have this fear that something stupid will happen in my detached garage and it will destroy my GN, '59 LeSabre, and everything else. This is my worst nightmare coming to life. So sorry man.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Glad no one was hurt. Seeing the pic of your burnt GN kinda makes me sick to my stomach!

Glad no one was hurt but, damn . I know insurance can replace the car but nothing can replace your history with it.

That sucks. Glad no one was hurt.. Did you have an agreed upon value? Has the insurance company giving you a hard time? Mines not even close to running but I decided to insure it any ways BC you never know

Very sad to see and sorry for your loss.I hope you had good memories and I'm glad everyone was ok.Any idea on what started the fire?Best of luck to you.

Fire investigators traced the cause to faulty garage wiring by a previous "electrician".
Full coverage insurance with $250 deductible. The adjuster was able to use my documentation from the day I bought it and many similar GN's online to arrive at a fair value.
I can't stress enough how important it is to track everything you do to your cars. Receipts and photos can easily be all you have left.

Sorry to hear about your loss and seeing the pics is upsetting. Good luck with the future LS projects, you have been around here a long time Jimmy! Your presence here on a normal basis will be missed, sure you don't have another TR in your future?

Thanks to all for your concerns and kind words.
The TR experience has been really enjoyable thanks to this site, it's members, vendors and events.
Rob; there were a few GN's and a TTA that almost made the cut but I was won over by a nice C5 `vert (pics soon).
A few TR parts actually survived as they are stored out of state. I'll take inventory and post up a list for sale in the spring.

Take care, Jimmy

Well thank god you and your family is ok , material things can always be replaced , the Vette is a beauty nice color , good luck with it and enjoy , RIP for Gn :( the Buick looked real nice too .
