When it rains and you open the trunk water pours out around the license plate area.
Also, some seeped into the spare tire area and rusted up my jack that I tried to use for the 1st time in 12 years.
Very common on these cars. Adjust the trunk tighter at the hinge and also the bumpers. Might not look the best but will save you the hastle. Also remove the plug under the spare just in case too. My 97 was so bad I didnt even realize it until I was getting sick all the time driving it and found tons of mold in there. Surprized I didnt get EEE from mosquitos back there in the pond. LOL Do you park on a hill? Also make sure the area behind the tail lights is not clogged where the water needs to escape.
