I'm sure this has been done but I can't seem to find any results. I am wanting to remove my stock airbox and replace it with a 9" K&N cone filter. I was wondering if anyone has ever dynoed a stock car with a stock airbox and then with a cone filter. I would like to know about how much of an increase I could expect for a $50 investment.

Don't know about dyno results but the Turbo Stock Appearing class has demonstrated that you can run into the 10s with the goofy old box on there (sans filter). And that's with all the other class restrictions in place.

It was done on a HA car and there was about a 50 HP gain from getting rid of the stock filter housing. I believe the thread's in the HA section but I remember reading it some time ago.;)
