RIP Charlie!
What's your point Brad? I was working on my car last year with 112 days over 100, a drought, and a fire hazard. yes' I was worn out at the end of the day with customers and all but I also only use AC in the house after 9PM so think about that. It's only used to help me sleep better.:p

Yes it is too hot to work on the Buick !!! Call me a pussy... after working in the heat for my job I am worn out and not looking to work on the car. I got the new engine in the car and running at RC's in May, havent touched since. Got the new XFI software and a solenoid for boost control but havent installed yet. Hope I get some motivation to get her done before BG.

Maybe but I have worked 11p to 7a for a very long time . This week I have been up when I would normally be asleep . Add to that working in the curing trenches all day has me feeling run down. Just don't know about loading everything up hauling to the track and putting on a fire suit . Car runs 5.70 1/8 not real sure how safe the track will be in that kind of heat .

These cars hate high heat more than we do. I don't drive mine on really hot days, let alone race it. My old shop would get to 115 sometimes due to a flat-black roof, no shade and running the emissions dyno all day long. It sucked at times. No energy at the end of the day.

One time last summer I closed the garage door, cranked up the house A/C and left the house to garage door open to bring cool air into the garage to wrench.

I even cheated some by firing up the garage exhaust fan for a minute on low to suck a bunch of cool air into the garage real quick.

Work in the evening when it's cooler. I went the day job 8-2 had a "nice Monte" comment on the way to work. Nap for 30-40 mins then pool time for a bit with the family. Lastly out to play in garage from 7-9 with a wet bathing suit. :)

Its def too hot to drive it. Mine was running over 200 and my tranny was at 180. That is extremely hot for my car. It never goes over 170 and the tranny gauge looks broke most of the time. It sits at about 100-110, so 180+ was tough.
I parked it and spent the rest of the day in the A/C.
