Installing Hood Bumper Posts

I got some replacement hood bumpers (the ones on the posts) recently. The cowl bumper went on no problem, but the front two don't want to screw into their holes on the radiator support.

It looks like there's a clip that is slightly mis-aligned with the hole to hold the posts securely in place.

Any tips to get these things installed without stripping them or cross-threading?

Nevermind, figured it out.

The "clip" that holds the posts in place is a square with tabs on each corner. Grab the square with some pliers and rotate counter-clockwise to "unlock" the posts and remove them easily. After you install new posts/bumpers, set them at the correct height and rotate the clip clockwise to secure. If pliers won't fit, you can use a small screwdriver and a hammer to tap the tabs at each corner instead.

Hope this helps someone in the future.
