Has anybody used the hydroboost kit offered by Gbodyparts? What master cylinder did you use? Any feedback on the system would be appreciated.

I have my own source for HB units. I use the 1.125" Wilwood m/c with them.
Disc ft/drum rear. I also use a Wilwood adj prop valve.

use a steel one. I have one if you want it. I know it is good because I shot all over the place looking for issues on my braking problems. It wasnt the MC.

Words of advice

Get a large reservoir, with a filter in line. Make sure that the lines are low to keep aeration from occurring.
Slow down the speed of the pump volume with a orifice fitting from pure choice motorsports

See this thread, it may help.

If you need a pump and the lines, and the orfice fitting let me know, going to be selling it all. The power steering pump ended up being good, and I was wrong about the pump being bad

thanks bud, I'm doing a total rebuild (motor, trans, rear, and brakes) I'm doing some research before diving in. I'm still deep into the motor at the moment, but I will look you up when I get the drive train complete

I was just looking at wilwood the other day. Do you have any pics of your setup .wasn't sure if wilwood had anything to offer for our cars but I guess they do

That's the same set up as on my 87T, my 55 Chevy, and several others, [33 Ford, 62 Stude], we've done.

GN87, I'm interested in how well you like this brake setup, good ,bad, about the same as the powermaster? I've never seen this kit before and am interested for a future upgrade, thanks Gene.

Gene,
I could not be happier. The car has a nice firm pedal and stops much better than with the PM unit. Now when I go to the track I can also leave off the foot brake while building some serious boost. I problem was finding a complete unit vs. piece milling the system together. Tallon Hydraulics solved my problem with this kit. Pricing was fair as well.

GN87, had you tried the factory HB system before going this route? If so what where the differences in your opinion?
