HUD Boost Gauge

Anyone ever think about doing a Heads up Display Boost Gauge? Think it would be sweet upgrade! I think a Co. called Defi did something like this. It could also suit other cars as well...

I think the windshield needs a special coating for a hud to work properly, might be why such a thing isn't already available? I remember my ex's 91 grand prix had a hud and it was cool as hell! I also remember when we got the windshield replaced there was a different part number for the hud equipped cars, hence my previous thought. Would be cool if scan masters were set up to project onto the drivers line of sight!

There are a bunch of aftermarket HUD stuff out there. Don't think the aftermarket ones need anything special about the windshield. There are phone apps too.
