I have a lift to use , I know I have gotta remove the trans pan and drain but is it more than the two bolts that hold it in place and what about the two wires ? Do I have to cut and splice ? And I tried the search tab but no luck . Thanks in advance for the help Keith

Yes, you just remove the 2 bolts and the solenoid pulls out of the pump. You will have to splice the wires. P1000475.JPG P1010284.JPG

I used a utility pump from harbor freight and pumped most of the fluid out through the fill tube. Dave Husek gave me this tip. I also got the solenoid from Dave.

Two things to be sure of, most TCC solenoid replacements will require the spacers. These go between the solenoid brackets and the case.

The solenoid has a polarity, so be sure the back goes to black and the red to red. If you test it with a battery or such, the red is the + side. Reverse them and the diode in the solenoid goes out, most of the time shorted.
