Just got to thinking since 1990 I've had a few

1. Brown 74 4 door ford maverick 250 straight 6 piece of crap 1st car rotted out on my lawn before it saw the road

2. Spray bombed blue '74 4 door dodge dart slant 6, jacked up the rear with helper springs was good off road, we would remove the back seat and with the trunk up could load it up with 18 pallets for our keg parties, could also fit 6 beers in an air duct.

3. '85 light blue 4 door 4cyl Buick century donated by grandparents, had electrical issues

4. '89 gray 4 door Buick century 4.0 v6 $400 beater it got me around but if you ever heard "piece of shit car" by adam sandler this is the car he was singing about. My daughter actually puked in the back and smelled like it on humid days.

5. '98 maroon 4 door dodge intrepid forget what motor but felt like a business man driving it around, got hit head on first/only (knock on wood) time had an airbag deploy in my face, smells funny.

6. '87 maroon monte ss, bench seat cool car but overheated n blew the motor

7. '89? green 6 cyl 4 door ford ltd broughm donated by aunt if Adam sandler wrote a follow it woulda been based on this car, green paint would smudge your clothes, my co worker said you couldnt ake a baseball bat to that thing for 10 minutes and make it look any worse than it does.

8. 87 gn bought it back in 99 from a co-worker bone stock 66k miles for $4500! Being a dumb ass I pulled a 401k loan for un-thought out mods, made it run like crap so I sold it.. what's the saying if your gonna be dumb you better be tough?

9. '89 white 4 cyl honda accord, fun was like riding a go cart, fond memories of cruising around with my 6 year old daughter listening to at-40.. Angel by Shaggy good times

10. 02 pewter s10 extended cab 4.3 2wd.. first new ride was very proud only paid 16k put 25k miles on it in 6 months then traded it in for one of my favs

11. '03 dark blue extra cab flare side 4.3 gmc sonoma with zq8 suspension handled great miss it.. my 8 year old daughter loved the jump seat

12. Well I don't own them but was assigned an '01 chevy express work van.. since replaced by an '07, '12, '19

13. '87 dark blue turbo t, Dennis Kirbans test car #3, bought it in '04 with 167k miles still have it

14. '93 black gmc typhoon, bought in '06 super cool little truck but couldn't keep it running rite and ran into some life issues it had to go

15. '01 black 4 door blazer my 1st 4wd vehicle put a homesteader plow on it and it did great

16. '94 2 door regal gs red on red series 1 3800 old school cool .. had to get another cheap daily cuz I had the blazer apart

17. '04 black regal gs 33k miles little old lady owned she wanted leather and ended up with a supercharger lol .. found it on long island craigslist for short money wasn't even in the market but figured what the hell

18. '04 maroon chevy blazer zr2 super mint had an unfortunate ending don't wanna talk about it

19. '03 pewter sonoma 4.3 4wd ex cab .. current daily great truck found it michigan w/ 69k miles super clean had it shipped to mass

20. Kinda sorta maybe looking at a syclone

I treat my cars like my women, with love and respect so I haven’t had as many as some. Wink, wink.

1. In 1982 I bought a 1975 Ford F-250 4X4 Hi-boy.
Had it for 10 1/2 years. It ended up with a 400 cid sbc (yes, that stands for small block Chevy), Saginaw wide ratio 4-speed, 12 inches of lift, 40” Monster Mudders on 15” wide 15” wheels w/ 8 hole centers. Ran 16.10

2. In 1986 I ordered a 1986 Buick GN (Nuff said). Ran 14.51 out of the box. Quickest 12.30’s before latest upgrades. (Still have it).

3. In 1997 I bought a 1930 Chevy 1 1/4 ton truck project.

4. In 1988 I bought a 1984 Olds Cutlass Ciera. 4-door fwd commuter.

5. In 1992 I sold car 4 and bought a 1989 Buick Regal.

6. In 1993 I sold truck 1 without the engine and put it in a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. Ran 12.60’s

7. In 1995 totaled car 5 and bought a 1990 Buick Regal. Ran 16.30’s (Yeah I know, slower than the truck).

8. In 1997 I bought a 1985 GMC S-15 Jimmy 4X4 ended up with 8 1/2” lift, 33/12.50-15’s, ‘97 Vortec 4.3L and Powertrax Lockrites front and rear.

9. In 1998 got married, inherited a 1994 Chevy Cavalier.

In 1999 sold the 1990 Regal and 1982 Trans Am and moved to Colorado with only the 1985 GMC S-15 Jimmy (now known as the GMC Jackal) and the 1994 Chevy Cavalier. The poor GN sees storage and the 1930 1 1/4 ton truck project is still on my parents farm.

10. In 2000 we got a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

11. In 2004 sold the Jackal, bought a 1962 IH Scout project (Still have it). Got the GN out of storage and brought it to Colorado.

12. In 2005 sold the 1994 Chevy Cavalier and bought a 1989 Buick Lesabre T-Type.

13. In 2008 the Jeep got totaled and got a 2006 Ford Expedition.

14. In 2009 sold the 1989 Buick T-Type, bought a 1994 Olds Cutless Supreme Convertible. (Still have it).

15. In 2015 traded the 2006 Ford Expedition for a 2013 Ford Explorer (still have it).

16. Sold the 1930 Chevy 1 1/4 ton truck project.

17. In 2019 I bought a 2001 GMC Jimmy (It was totaled in an accident 7 days after title transfer, I was off work for 3 mos.) so this one’s a wash. Lol

18. In 2020 we bought a 2010 Cadillac Escalade ESV

19. Later in 2020 we got a 2001 Olds Bravada for our daughter to drive.

That’s all.

I have had a handful of two and four wheeled, mobile, gas guzzling things we call vehicles or bikes.
However I have only had ONE real car, my 87 GN I bought new and still have 110,000 miles 34 years later which remains virtually all stock.
My wife and I for our 25 year anniversary just over a year ago bought an 86 GN that had to be towed to the house after being abused and we are now working to make into the "Evil Twin" to the 87 with more HP and a lot more burnouts than my "babied" 87 has ever performed. These may be the only two REAL vehicles we will ever own.

First car - '65 Ford Fairlane, 260 V8, 3 on the tree. I chopped off the OEM exhaust and made it a dual exhaust car with Cherry Bomb mufflers. It was obnoxious. My first, and probably last, welds on a car. Swapped the column shifter for a Hurst 3 on the Floor but the shifter rods wouldn't fit in the trans tunnel, so we turned them upside down. That resulted in a reverse "H" shift pattern that went from bottom Right (Reverse) shifting backwards to top left (3rd). I never worried that someone would take it....... Rolled that car 3 times on Thanksgiving night, 1978.

2. '70 Chevelle 350 2BBL bench seat, column shifter. Gold with a white vinyl top. Paid $600 for it. What a dog that car was, but I made it look fast. Cragers, Fat tires on the back, SS stripes, all show, no go.

3. '65 Malibu SS. Cool car but a pile of shit. It had been built by a kid that now paints/wraps Indy cars. He didn't know much back then and neither did I, but I wanted that car with the ladder bars it had on it. It HAD to be fast, no? Sold it, Repo'd it after the guy who bought it built the shit out of it but didn't live up to the simple contract we wrote on a yellow legal pad and sold it to his next door neighbor for a nice profit. Yep, I can be a dickbag.

4. My Dad's prized ' 68 2 door ,400 SBC, Seafoam Green Impala. I loved that sloped back! Sold it to a guy I worked with who immediately (2 weeks later) hit a tree with it.

5. 1978 Ford Thunderbird. That weird orangeish color one. It had every beeper and buzzer available. Sold it to my apartment maintenance man for more than I paid 5 years later.

6. ' 83 Husrt Olds, what a pile of troubles, sold it 3 months later.

7. 1984 Thunderbird Coupe, meh. It was comfortable, had a lot of options, just like 10 million other ones out there.

8. 1986 Buick Grand National, I was in love. Spent a boatload of money back then getting it to run low 12's. It was stolen in '96.

9 1994 Taurus SHO. I liked that car, a lot!. Crashed it in the snow up in Flagstaff, AZ. Maybe the 100 proof Southern Comfort had something to do with it...... NAW............

10. 1999 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, 22K on the clock. My dad gave it to me because he couldn't drive any more and I had crashed my SHO. That car was a thief magnet. Got broken into 4 times, stolen twice and then I loaned it to a "friend" (I had a company truck by this time and was busy on a job in another state) who got it towed from a titty bar parking lot. He promised to go get it but by the time I made it back to AZ, an abandoned title notice was waiting in the mail. Tow yard got it. My "friend" and I no longer talk. He has an ass kicking coming if we run into one another again.

11/12. Company Honda Accord. Bought out the lease at 60K for $6100 and just a week later I bought a '79, 2WD, removable hard top Chevy Blazer as a project and future car for my son. Ended up giving my son the Acura and sold the Blazer for ALL the money. The boy didn't want the Blazer, anyway.

13. 1987 Turbo Buick, white, bench seat, column shifter. Perhaps some of you have have read about my exploits with it. :p

14. 2016 Acura TL, 46 K on the clock, tech package Daily Driver. Still own it.

15. 2009 BMW 528 Daily Driver, 146K on the clock, these things run forever. Still own it.

Guess you guys are going to try them all out before you make up your minds, good thing you don't have to pay alimony to them. I'm the black sheep with only 10 in 49 years and wish I'd kept all of them except the 90 ford ranger, what a pos.

Holy Moly  plenty of the stuff of dreams in there ^^^
Didn't any of you guys have any kids   ? ... or are you leaving the minivans & SUVs off of the lists?
I was thinking that I've only had "a few" cars (tend to keep them for a long time) compared to above.... but after after 45 years of vehicle ownership - they do start to add up.
