Hello all, i recently installed a GT3255A i purchased from a member here and experienced slow spool. I removed the stock exhaust elbow and took some measurements and made a quick template.
First, i noticed is the WG hole is 30mm and my puck is 29mm
Second, i placed a piece of paper over the exh housing (like a gasket) and pressed against it to make a template. I cut out the template and placed against the elbow and the WG hole does not center with the puck
Do i have a bad stock elbow?
I emailed Jason at RJC about buying a Block off plate and drilling a new hole for the WG but i want to know why this happend to me? I thought there were a few guys running these turbos when they first came out. I also have a TA49 (needs rebuild) and thinking about sending it in for repair and putting it back on...
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Sal
