where the lower rear controll arm bolts between those two plates or what ever they are.. what im wondering is if those were lose on one side of the car would that make your car sway back and forth when your driveing and let off the gas and then hit it again.. at first i thought it was the controll arms but those were fine and now i found that these two plates were lose to begin with.. if any suggestions or help that would be great..
thanks

Which end of the arm are you talking about? It sounds like the frame end.

Are you saying the mounting brackets at the frame are broken? If so, stop driving the car now. When that happens, the entire load is born by bolt itself and not the joint surrounding it. Although the bolt is a 10.9 high strength bolt it will not safely handle this type of loading. Get that car to a certified welder. Its a fairly mild steel and will be fixed pretty cheaply. Also, replace the bolt, those high strength fasteners don't fail gracefully. Check the whole in the frame where the bolt comes out, it may have been wallowed

If, on the other hand you just meant that the bolt is loose, replace it with an identical grade bolt and make sure its torqued to spec.
