GM wheels on a Toyota?

This is about as “off topic” as I can get. A friend of mine bought a mid 70’s FJ40 that doesn’t have wheels on it. I’ve got a set of mid 70’s GM 6 hole rims; but I don’t know if they will fit. The FJ is about 500 miles away from here; so there’s no easy way to measure or test fit. Both are 6 on 5.5”; but I don’t know if the centers of my GM wheels are big enough to go on the FJ.

Anyone know or tried it?

Thanks,

Joe

My recollection is that they will fit on the Toyota.

20 years ago is the last time that question came up.
I think I remember them being interchangeable.

one of my uncles had a Toyota about 20 years ago that had the Chevy steel rally wheels on it. the truck was less than 10 years old at the time and the body was ready to fall off- but it ran awesome and wouldn't die.

I was kind’a hoping to avoid a long road trip; but looks like I’ve got about 10 hours of wheel hauling ahead of me soon.

Thanks guys,

Joe

Yes Chevy wheels work. An FJ40 is practically a Chevy the way the engine and some of the drivetrain was designed.
