BUYING PARTS FROM GBODY FOR 4 YEARS NOW
ESTIMATED 5 OR 6K IN BUSINESS IN AROUND A DOZEN OR SO PART ORDERS
A FEW HAVE GONE AWRY, WRONG PART, OR MISCOMMUNICATIONS AND DELIVERY BULLSHIT
NO BIG DEAL, WERE ALL HUMAN, WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, SHIT GETS FUCKED UP FROM SOME OF THIER SUPPLIERS. ALL GOOD.

THEN THERE IS THE STRAW. YOU KNOW, THE ONE THAT FINALLY AFYTER ALL RESILIENCE IS WASTED AND PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING HAVE LEFT THE BUILDING, FINALLY BREAKS YOUR BACK.

I ORDERED GBODY'S ADVERTISED WILDWOOD BRAKE KIT FOR MY GRAND NATIONAL, AT THE START OF MY RESTORATION, ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. WHEN IT WAS DROP SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM WILDWOOD, I NOTICED THE BOX STATED THIS FITS CAMARO 78-??? WHATEVER.
CALLED GBODY IMMEDIATELY AFTER RECEIVING THE PART AND WAS ASSURED (AFTER RECITING PART #'S AND SPECS) THAT THIS WAS INDEED THE PART FOR MY GRAND NATIONAL.
FUNNY THING.
I DID NOT TRUST THIS INDIVIDUALS OPINION AND CALLED AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER AND WAS ASSURED AGAIN BY A SECOND INDIVIDUAL (GBODY PARTS EMPLOYEE, AGAIN) THAT THIS WAS THE RIGHT PART, RIGHT NUMBERS ETC. ETC.

MY FAULT- SHOULD HAVE CALLED WILDWOOD IMMEDIATELY, THEY ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. THEY ACTUALLY PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL.

MY FAULT- I SHOULD'NT HAVE ORDERED ALL THE PARTS FOR MY COMPLETE CAR RESTORATION (AS IT TAKES YEARS FOR LITTLE OLD ME AND SOME PALS TO FULLY RESTORE AN OLD CAR) EVEN THOUGH YOU NEED THEM EARLY IN THE RESTO FOR MOCK UP (OBVIOUSLY NEVER MOCKED THESE UP, BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TOO, NOT BRAKES, NOTHING WAS BEING CHANGED FROM STOCK, AFTER ALL THESE FIT RIGHT?

Oddly enough, I heard the yelling in my head as I read this. I have seen this guy in public at the Nats for years. I could not imagine having this kind of negativity surrounding my company.

Due to the time lapse, I'd put the Camaro parts on Ebay, take some Zoloft,:D and chalk it up to the past. Won't "break" even, but not a total loss.

Love the reply's gents, thank you sincerely for the advice and positive outlook. its where I am pretty much headed, just really disappointed in GBody. The owners are really great people just like you and I and unfortunately, just like you and I, we are sometimes going through shit in life that can have the ability to knock us off our A game. Its obvious that this company is going through some changes. Just sad to see it happening and to be a part of it on the receiving end, ya know. No sweat on the part, its only money, and I am learning not to get worked up behind other peoples shit. Its all good. Thanks again all!

I think he meant Zanax, for your anxiety. Zantac is for heartburn, which you may also be experiencing? Take 2 of each and tell us how you feel in the morning. Just don't drink, drive, or operate heavy machinery.

Found this out a few months ago when I had a buddy in Olds need some stuff. I sent him there and he calls says no number. I gave him Brians email.
 
It is amazing to me that (1) Gilbert -Gbodyparts- Weaver still continues to screw over his customers AND (2) people still give him the chance to screw them. I was very vocal with my experience with that snake and posted pictures of the carnage. I've left links in my sig to the thread. I don't understand how folks continue to put themselves at risk. People you have other options, wise up and exercise those other options. I do not and will not even consider buying from Gilbert anymore. James Velaz, read my thread and you'll see it can actually get worse.

I think most of us have had to deal with them at some point, for better or worse. Back in 2012 when I first got my car I spend thousands with them in restoration parts and upgrades. Only had one issue with one of my orders that parts were backordered. Shortly after I called asking if they had a fixed antenna they could pull from a parts car and was told they would call me back. Kept getting the run around every time I called so I stopped trying. About 6 months ago I bought a set of clear bumper lights from them on ebay and was surprised when they showed up 3 days later. Then a week later, I received another set that I was never charged for :rolleyes:, win win for me ;). So maybe ebay is the better way to go to deal with them since ebay and paypal hold them accountable for screw ups (y).

Was sold aftermarket reproduction Cutlass tail light emblems as NOS GM parts.
He changed the description after he was ousted for fraudulently passing off aftermarket as NOS.
Even admits to me in email that they were NOS but later confirmed by Goodmark as aftermarkets...
Lost $117 on that deal
