So in this next installment on "wingin it" I've taken off the gas tank. Thanks to everyone who has helped me thus far. I'm learning tons in a short amount of time. So I was told there was only a 1/4 tank of fuel so I took off the tank by cutting the 3 fuel hoses. Couldn't pull em off for the life of me and there is a ton of slack. Low and behold 3/4 tank of fuel and she was as redder than a baboons..... Rust everywhere. So replacing the tank with spectra premium, but since I'd like to remain as stock as possible I'm in search of a good quality pump and sender. Something my car can handle without replacing the hard lines. Also, recommendations for hose brands and what I'm looking for besides "garden"? Thanks again friends!

Do a search. Some of those spectra tanks need fuel to be pumped very slowly. Annoying to say the least. Just remember to use fuel injected fuel lines and good clamps to put it back together. Keeping it stock? Racetronix 255 sender and pump. Dont forget the hotwire kit. The 340 will carry you further if you mod the car later. Fuel pressure will be a bit higher than most care for it to be at idle with a 340.

Would the 340 need additions? Because I'd rather be prepared for the future and who knows how long I can keep it this way. Say I put 60lb injectors or simple bolt ons. Would I be looking to replace alot more? Also do you have a better tank suggestion? I figured spectra because that's what came off it and it seemed to be a good standard. Plus there's a warehouse in Edmonton Alberta [emoji39]

A 255 should be fine for any mods you do for a while if you're planning on staying "stock". Hot wire kit is a must. You can go with a replacement fuel sending unit and a set of hoses for the tank from Highway Stars. The kit comes with all the right sized hoses that will make your life easier.

I just replaced the old, tired Walbro pump in mine and went with a 255 LPH pump from TurboTweak. I am very happy with it. I had to modify the insulator at the bottom of the pump to get the bottom of the pump to stick out far enough from the stock hanger to get the pump sock on. Other than that since I already had a hotwire kit and was wired in tank for a Walbro pump on the stock hanger it was a simple install. I also have stock fuel lines and would have no worries using this pump up to 60 lb injectors on 93 pump.
