So I have been trying to figure what keeps blowing my 20amp light, radio, cig lighter fuse. Ive check all the connections and the cig lighter and all seem to be fine. I pulled the dome light cover (car is a hardtop with map lights) and I noticed there was a lot of black burnt look to the bulb and plastic around it. I took pictures (see) I noticed there was a plastic connector between the two ends that was melted but I did not see any wires? My question is should there be a wire that connects the two? or does the bulb complete the circuit? I wanted to get some opinions

before I connect wires I should not. Thanks

There's a lot of circuits on that fuse...I will put in order of the shorts I've seen over the years.

1) shorted CIG lighter socket
2) dome light wire screwed into on drivers a piller or sun visor
3) hood or trunk light
4) radio memory wire
5) horn
6) door lock switches, relay or wiring

Unplug or inspect all above, let us know what the issue is.
