I took off the molding an used a small sledge hammer. Just go from end to end EASY.. Bend it a little more each time. Oh I have never messed up the paint. Just go slow.
^ thats my method ..2lb sledge .. and then i put the trim back and bend it over
bend lip just above the second trim screw hole from bottom and when done youll still have four screw holes to reattach the trim
