It's not spinning as fast as it should......

I'm thinking of welding it together as a temp fix.
What are the drawbacks of welding it together? I've got an electric hook up going in a few weeks, so it won't be for too long.

Any suggestions?

:D

The only thing I can think of beside it being off balance a little from the welding. Is that it will make a lot more drag on the engine.
The reason I say this is that a friend at work as a F350 ford truck. His clutch fan locked up & he blearily had enough power to climb some of the hill’s he has to drive across to get to work & the truck sounded like an Airplane.

Of course this is a Ford, But enough said about that.

Thanks Fred,

I was thinking about my old Chevy back in the day when fan clutch's were'nt around. They were solid. Anyway she does'nt seem to go over 180 on the temp gauge so I'll hold off on welding till I recieve the painless kit for my electric fan.

Thanks again Fred!
