Hey Tim! Only about 14yrs late!

I was like "Why are they talking about the resale value of a 2009 Caddy?"

Then Chuck stepped in and educated me. LOL

With the direction they have taken as of late, I doubt I'll ever buy another new GM vehicle. And up until last year only two were not gm products. That changed with the last two purchases. So now there are four non gm.

A sad, ongoing problem, for sure. And not only GM.
I drove by the largest/one of the largest, Chevy dlrs in the SE. He specialized in Vettes and trucks.
His side lot, about the size of a football field, had 2 used heaps on it, awaiting the wholesaler pickup.
His main lot had mostly used vehicles, and not a lot of them. A brand mix that says, "auction stuff".
One of the big hits these new car mfgrs take is refusing to take care of known problems.
The 2014 Silverado LTZ was the biggest pile of junk I've ever owned. $44K worth of it.
It took a hike, and I bought a 2002 Suburban....It "ain't purdy", but at 300K on the clock, hasn't been expensive.

This one is still going strong
Just ran it thru emissions yesterday

225k on it
Put a gm crate motor in it around 180k and a gm 4l60e a few thousand later

This has been alright
Had it
Almost 3 years and almost 6k on it

The bulk of my driving is done in a 2009 hhr
That thing has been good to me
