Door ding strips

does anyone recognize this? It’s a 3 piece door ding trim. In a perfect world I would just removed it, but the paint is terrible on my GN so it would stick out like a sore thumb if I pulled it.

You want find NOS, that trim came on a roll and cut to the correct specs. I'm like Claude leave as is if going to repaint car. What a lot folks do to preserve trim is removed it and clean the old Adhesive of trim and replace with 3M double side tape. Don't forget to wet some steel wool to remove old adhesive from car. I think I have a roll of trim somewhere in the garage ,but it's not cheap per foot.? If you're interested I will look for it.

I am trying with all my strength to not repaint the car. There are so many ways to better spend money :)
I’ll try pulling the trim, light compound buff, and reapply with fresh 3m tape.

I did check garage and found this roll of trim moulding , its been at less 25 years since I used some of it. But this is as close to NOS you can get. If you were ever going to repaint car, this moulding would be the way to go.

if you want to remove it....use some goo gone...as it is safe for the paint...let it work for a couple minutes...then use light heat with a heat gun ....and get a piece of fishing line 8-10lb test and run it behind it and boom its off....then use some more goo gone soaked in a rag or paper towel to get rid of the rest of adhesive....then a good cutting polish with a final polish ....

all of the aftermarket trim ...is not quite the same...mainly the texture and exact shape....buckshot looks to have some nice stuff...another rare part ...for our cars ....especially NOS
