CruizinKev's 1979 Monte Carlo

Hi guys,

I'm new here and looked around a bit and thought I also want to show what I'm working on for so long LOL

..so here's my project-car, my 1979 Monte Carlo 305.

I bought it december 2002 and I'm still on it... I work on it everytime when I have some lil time and money or so LOL

current projects, rework the whole car, rebuild frame/suspension. Body will be painted something like gunmetal (dark grey)..

first steps - I cleaned a lil bit the engine and added some chrome parts..

Like said before, want to rebuild everything. Want a clean & smooth car - good suspension, good brakes and a nice look..

..something like that I want it to look like.. but not black car - mine should be gunmetal..

I also got a full Vortech V2 s-trim kit laying here, originally it was for my 1998 Ford Mustang 3.8 V6 (my daily).

I just wanted to get rid of the vortech kit but now it let me think to put it on the MC.

I'm also thinking about a manual transmission swap. Thought about a T5 because I'm here in GERMANY and there's not much I can choose from. Some friends are into Mustangs and got a T5 laying.
Anyone used the Quicktime RM-6064 bellhousing?

eBay Motors: Quicktime Inc Bellhousing SBC Chevy Tremec T5 6064 (item 120299551342 end time Mar-26-09 13:34:54 PDT)

Want to know if it works smooth to use a Ford T5 on a GM engine with that bellhousing..

Okay so far,

feel free and post your thoughts and suggestions!

and here the look out to my daily car ;)

I pulled the engine few hours ago and I must say it was easy going for my first time doing that. next step is pull the chassis out the barn, finish the body dolly and roll the body further in the barn so I got more room to play :) will look around for a sandblaster for my frame and so on...

Coming along very well! Are you just going to notch the frame and hammer the wheel wells a little or our you planning to do a mini tub?

I tuck 310/30R18's under my GN with no problem. I have my fenders rolled and the frame notched with just the wheel wells "persuaded" a little. I dont think you'll have any problems!

cool thx for the info!

today I finally finished work on the rolling body dolly.
