Well, again I will show my lack of general mechanics, how do you pressurize the cooling system.... If anyone can help, a big thanks...

The wrong way is to blow a head gasket and combustion gasses will do it! For cooling system diagnostics there is a tool that consists of a special radiator cap and pump. You use the pump to pressurize the system.

Purging all the air out and starting the engine will pressurize it as the coolant expands as it heats up.

I would drain the radiator ( Alradco) right? Then when adding new antifreeze you do the pressurize with that tool...

No need to drain anything
