Convertor going bad??

I have a vigilante 3400stall L/U and I think it may be going bad. Here is why: After I get on the throttle and let back off it shoots fluid out through the filler tube. this only happens when I get on it. I have checked and I do not have any obstruction with the lines and all flows properly. The fluid is not over filled. If I drive the car normally and not heavy acceleration then it does not happen. I figured when it increases pressure it shoots it out the filler tube if the convertor is not working properly. Am I on the right track? Any thoughts on this?.

Check fluid level. Another reason for fluid to shoot out the filler tube is the unit is getting to hot. Usually from a set of clutches that are slipping.
Also I've seen malfunctioning converters that get the fluid so hot the oil turns brown but still transparent, with no damage to the rest of the unit.
First, I would check the vent on top of the transmission. Making sure its not plugged.
