hello people; I know nothing about coins but I do have a few. A co-worker walking in thru one of the parking lots saw somthing shiny on the ground. She picked up a 1855 1/2 dime. I've never heard of one add looking at it under 5X looks in good shape. There's a women on it in a dress looks like holding a flag on a pole.
anyone know anything about coins here?

Fairly common from a collectors point of view...Go to e-bay and you should find several for sale, and a current price.

hello; I'd say that's a no. Unless she had someone do a write up for her. IMO the one she found was in better shape than the one on e/b.
I like it and I wish I'd found it. Not for what it was worth but just to own. Finding stuff like that is rare in my life.

the $5 bill is face value but the wheat penny is worth at least 3 cents as all wheat penny's are worth that

i said 3 cents as i sold some awhile ago for that, and 2 weeks ago a guy gave me 5 cents for the 43 and older one's
