Cam Sensor Code

Recently, my GN displayed a check engine light. The code was 41 Cam Sensor Failure. I changed only the sensor but still received the code. What do I need to do next? Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you clear the ECM after replacement?
How did you replace the sensor- per procedure, or just drop it in?

Yes I did clear the computer.
I just dropped the sensor in. I did not know that there is a procedure for changing out only the sensor.
