What cam bearings do you use?
My application is Stage II 252 all standard size. Used for road racing.

Just ordered new set of cam bearings (from well known online supplier)
Ordered Clevite SH-1360 set (length 3/4")
Received Clevite SH-1385S which seem to be same size except 2-3-4 are only 5/8" long
- with note that "SH1360S not available".
- Clevite spec sheet shows SH1360 used only on some 1960 products.

Are those shorter bearings OK?
Can SH-1360S be bought elsewhere?

Thx - Derek

I think mine are INA roller cam bearings. The bearings are installed but I will see if I still have the boxes with product info.

Roller bearings sound interesting - but some major machining required I guess.

I should have replied to my own first post on this topic.
Clevite info says SH1360 only available singly, not in sets.
Summit says "n/a" - order SH1385S instead.
But Summit do offer a set of SH1360 - just order SH1360S.

Easy when you know!

I honestly don't know the machining requirements, it had roller bearing in there when it was disassembled. I wonder if there is truly a major benefit to using roller bearings over conventional. If it was it be on every race motor.
