Just picked up one for my Gn and thought it was a direct bolt in, the one they sent me is not . The mounting points are 2 inches off so before I cut it up to make it fit need to know if they sent the wrong one. Said it’s out of an 88and I know 82-88 are the same.
Thanks mike

My 87 t has that mod but it's in storage for another couple weeks otherwise I'd look at how it was done and let u know, btw how many pounds does it add?

I’ll weigh it and let you know, if’s it’s the right one

I've done this mod.I used a driver's front an just placed it on the passenger side an rerouted the wires out the right side.the only thing I used from the caddy was the plastic side panel.

stock seat track 7.5 and power seat track with wire, switch and the 4 long trim pieces 14.5 lbs.

Thanks for the detailed reply, guess it's cool n all to have a power passenger seat but the weight is pretty significant makes ya wonder if it's worth it to lug it around unoccupied most of the time

From what I understood the difference is 7lbs. Are you saying 7 extra lbs is pretty significant?

I think it is, depends on your point of view... 7 lbs is nothing for a necessary evil such as frame bracing but for a powered passenger seat that doesn't get much use at all it's just extra weight

Did you have to add any shims for it to align right?

i cut off the mounting feet below the aluminum track and welded new ones on that make the track sit just like the driver side, plus i spun the track around and put the motors in the front like the ds seat. i'll post more pics when i get the trim paint sat. at Kirbans for the caddy switch trim and the mounting feet.
the seat bolted up no problem just the track to the floor was off.

All done as for the xtra weight just turn up the boost, I almost always have my son in the passenger seat more fun than with mama. If I am alone I’ll take my 2000 busa. Waaay more fun.
