Broken seat

Any of you ever had a problem with a broken seat in your G-body? It's a power seat, and it works. But something broke a while ago, and now the seat "rocks", as if one of the legs were shortened a bit.

A friend of mine is a service manager and a Buick dealer, and I took it there to have him check it out. He told me there was a piece broken, and I'd probably have to buy a whole new seat.

Has this happened to any of you? And if so, were you able to fix it without having to buy a whole new seat?

I've been planning to take the seat out to see exactly what's broke, and see if it is something I can fabricate. But I haven't gotten around to it yet.

just take the seat out and check the seat frame. chances are one of the legs on the frame are broke. mine did the same thing had mine welded and is good as new now.

The left front leg broke on my driver seat too. I fabbed a reinforcement and welded it. Must be the extreme G-forces...yeah, that's it.
