One of the most different looking brake hats I've seen. Can anyone guess what type of system this fits ?

The type that uses an internal drum/shoe system as the park/emergency brake.

Yep. Almost every vehicle with rear disc brakes built in the last 15 years.
Disc brakes and drum brakes all in one.

I've never seen one like this where the hat extends that far inside the rotor face. Most I've seen the park brake is in the center of the rotor. Is this style common ?

The hat that far inside the rotor is different. I figured for wider parking brake shoes??

The parking brake shoe is standard width, but the backing plate mounts to the 2 tabs behind the hub/bearing pack and housing end. That is why it requires such a deep hat.

Currie floater hub/bearing pack (R) vs. Speedtech AFX spindle with C7 pack.
