I bought a crank/rods/pistons from a '87GN with 40k miles.

I had inquired about the block too... and told him if I could get the block all this came out of... I would stick it all back together...He said the car had been wrecked... and was running fine when the engine was pulled. The crank he said might polish out but would definately not have to any go more than 10/10.

40K '87 GN Parts I bought

When I got home....the box was out by the garage.....the box had some holes in it... I suspected there might be some issue.... so I took pics before I touched the box......and after I took the parts out. I replied to his original post and tried to get in touch with him.... I sent PM's ..... I eventually decided to start a post in the new Engine Tech forum to see if anybody else thought if I could use the parts..... they looked rough....definately not like I would think 40k mile parts should look like.

Here is my thread with all the pics:

Is this stuff good or not?

So.... I have sent about 4-5 PM"s .... 4-5 emails.... on two different email addresses I had..... I had to scrounge to get them from the last time I bought a torque converter from him last year...... (that transaction went smoothly).... one was the email I had had no problems communicating with him in the past..... more digging I found my paypal transaction where I bought the torque converter I got last year......different email address... so I sent emails there as well.....

So........ Does anybody know how I can reach Lou aka wickedtt?

Good lord.. if those parts have 40,000 miles on them... I will buy you another GN!:) Those look disgusting.

First Of All You Have To Tell The Whole Story. You Purchased Those Parts In Mid October And The First Time You Tried To Contact Me Was In January. I Have The Emails To Prove It. Not Around Thanksgiving. If Any One Received A Box In That Condition From Ups They Would Have Immediately Contacted Me Or Ups. I Could Of Put In A Claim At That Time Because Yes It Was Insured And Was Shipped Through The Ups Store And They Would Of Not Accepted The Box In That Condition. Obviously From The Look Of The Box And The Condition Of The Parts Something Happen During Shipping. I Know For A Fact They Did Not Look Like That. They Came Right Out Of The Motor Wiped Clean And Packaged The Day I Shipped It Because It Was A Short Block That I Was Saving. I Told You From The Begining I Sold My House And Was Cleaning Out The Basementand Did Not Have Room For Alot Of My Parts In My New House.. I Have Not Been On The Computer For Over 2 Months And You Can See That. I've Been Busy Working On My New House, I'm Sure You Guys Know How That Is, The Car Has Been Locked In The Garage

I CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR FRUSRATION IN TRYING TO CONTACT ME BUT I HIDE FROM NO ONE, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT $250 WORTH OF PARTS. I'VE DEALT WITH PEOPLE FOR YEARS ON THE BOARD AND NEVER REALLY HAD ANY PROBLEMS. WHAT HAPPEN TO THESE PARTS FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS, WAS THE BOX THROWN AROUND THE GARAGE ALOT. YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND MY SITUATION ALSO YOU RECEIVED A BOX ALL TORN UP AND TELLING ME YOU DID'NT EVEN OPEN IT TO LOOK AT THE PARTS AT ALL,IT TAKES 5 MINUTES TO INSPECT THEM, I KNOW I DO AFTER I SPEND MY HARD EARNED MONEY AND THEN AFTER MONTHS SMEAR MY GOOD NAME ON THE BOARD AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT YOU EXPECT ME TO DO. .AT THIS POINT I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE CAN DO TO BE FAIR.

Lou,

I explained why I didn't touch them for awhile in the other thread.... the only thing I did was take a few pics of the box shortly after I got it.... The properties on the jpegs I took say October 29. That is when I took them. No I didn't immediatly unpack them... I had been working long hours during the week.....and hunting on the weekends.....I was concerned about the holes in the box.... that is why I took thos pics. I did get around to opening the box (like I said... working during the week some long hours... hunting on the weekend left no time to work on the car). I probably should have opened the box right away.... but I wasn't that worried... because I had already done business with you before.

Please respect my frustration.... I have tried every way I know how to get in touch since I realized these parts were damaged.

I'm Sorry But I Do Understand Your Frustration That Is Why I'm Talking To You. I Would Like To Be Fair About It. I Will Go Down To The Ups Store First Thing Monday And See If There Is Anything They Can Do And If Not I'm Sure We Can Come To A Fair Agreement. Just Give Me A Couple Of Days To Work On It And We Will Stay In Contact. Is This Ok?

If this will be any assistance, you can make claim with UPS up to 9 months but you must still have the original box.

Here it is March 1..... I haven't heard from him since Feb 7 at 10:25 AM. He has not responded to my reply on actually 2/12 at 11:17 PM.

Anybody feeling my frustration? :frown:

agreement

Just thought I would bump this TTT.

Lou agreed to give me my money back. I sent him the parts back, and he sent me a money order. I got it. He made good on the damaged parts.

Thanks Lou.
