Getting broke in well with my new GN. Started getting while smoke today and I would like someone to look at it but I haven't found anyone this way that is familiar with our cars.

They all say they know what they are doing but I've already found this not to be true. The guy I bought it from is an amazing mechanic but it is having some issues already from the bottom end build he did on it.

Any help would be great. If my head gasket is blown causing the smoke I would like to go ahead and beef up a few things while it's open.

Sorry I can't help but I have been to Dothan, AL before because I had a customer there. Nice place. Anywhere near you?

It depends on what needs to be done. Locally, there really isn't anyone I know of that does motor work, tuning, performance upgrades, troubleshooting, etc. If it's something that's not related to any of that I've been going to Parrish in Daphne, AL (A.C, brakes, etc...).

But, there is a shop in Foley that I've been meaning to stop by and check out called Hucks (12365 Co Rd 65, Foley, AL 36535). Seems to be the go to guy around here for the Corvette and GM crowd: https://www.facebook.com/HucksAutomotiveService/

For the motor and performance, I take mine to Don Cruz in Orlando, FL. If it's transmission related I'd take it to Jason White in Hattiesburg, MS. Right now, there just isn't anyone in AL that I trust doing that kind of work.

There aren't many local TR owners here in Baldwin County, only 2 others that I'm aware of who I've met. One of them might do motor work as he's done his own car and he's mentioned before that he does work on the side.

Yeah that's what I was afraid of. There's a mechanic at Floyds in Robertsdale that's doing my rear main seal that's familiar with them and also took the time to call some specialist before starting the work. It has to be better than what the guy I got it from did to it.

Look me up on Facebook @ Zack Carpenter
