I can't count the times that I've read rave revues about an engine, or trans that somone got a week ago, only to have it take a dump a month later.
Just over a year ago, I payed, what I thought at the time was a fair price for a stout motor to meet my performance goals. Since then, if you factor in all the free extra car parts, tech support, and moral guidance
, it wasn't a fair price. It was a steal.
Today, this thing made 507 RWHP and 498 TQ on the dyno. It did this on a conservative tune of 22 lbs boost and 25 deg of timing. This was with 91 oct, Razor's alky kit, and a stock location intercooler. After todays pulls, and a years worth of floggings at this power level, I thought that it was a good time to do a compression and leak down test. All compression numbers were around 150. All leakdown numbers were between 4.5 and 5.5%. Oil pressure is right where it was when new. I've now got about 30 dyno pulls, 100 (race track
passes) and some long trips on this thing.
Just wanted to share my (and many others) positive engine buying experience with Lou's auto.
Thanks.
