Annette Summer's badass BBC twin turbo Pro Modified Vette **Pics**

No doubt, 2005 season is going to be great for Pro Mod. Allowing turbo's in the class will be awesome! Those cars are insane as they are without turbo’s, going to make for great watching! Hopefully they won't restrict them too much in the first season and all the non-turbo cars will complain about it. I don't know much about the Pro Mod rules but I assume the turbo cars will probably run alcohol like the blown cars. Based on the pictures looks like they are allowing twin turbo's and liquid intercoolers. Imagine nitro injected twin turbo’s, enough to keep you warm through a cold NE winter….

Definitely should see the first 5-second Pro Mod run this year!

Here is a pretty good article that John Wilde sent me about them allowing Turbos in Pro Mod for the upcoming 2005 season...

Not sure what it has run so far (I know they're still in the testing stage)... I think they broke something in the tranny at Bradenton...

If I remember correctly that motor made over 3000hp on the Dyno at Duttweilers so once they get it sorted out I think the blower boys are gonna be cryin'!!!!:D

...been there, done that: http://www.dragracingonline.com/tocher/v_3.html

You're right, with respect to 2005 being a great season for Pro Mod. There are only a couple of turbo-equipped cars invited for the '05 NHRA season (http://www.amspromods.com/), but based on their success, we may [or may not] see more of them in the future. The rules for the nitrous cars have been loosened up even more [unfortunately for the rest of us] as well.

If you've never been to an IHRA/NHRA event where Pro Mod is running, you're REALLY missing out.

With the new rules for Pro Mod next year, does it specifically exclude the Corvette with a weight break? Says he was 200 lbs lighter than NHRA rules. Either way, very cool.

We'll have a weight penalty of 50 pounds if we run the 'Vette. I think it's a good think overall...there are way too many '63 split-windows in the class right now.

BTW, if anyone knows of an organization whose marketing/sales departments would like to be involved in racing, let me know. :) We're actively seeking the last half of the dollars we'll need for this year.
