Alky Control amperage

Has anyone ever measured the amperage that Alky Control system uses/needs to operate ?

I had my system wired though a nice looking but cheap toggle switch and it melted it internally and shorted it to ground.

When I rewire it, I want to use a better rated switch.

It doesn't draw a lot of current. There is no need for a toggle switch imo. The voltage source is switched power and the system can be shut off by turning the gain knob counterclockwise.

So I can turn the knob all the way counter-clock wise to turn the system off ?

Yes but i wouldn't rec doing so unless you have some other failsafe reminder to turn it back on if you run low octane fuel

:)

I don't turn the boost up unless I am at the track.

I set the controller to 15 psi on the street

Why? That's like kissing your Aunt.

you do know that the alky kit is progressive right? Never turn it off. Ive seen quite a few blown head gaskets from deteriorating vacuum lines.
