What role does the accumulator valve play? What are the different effects of the br vs other accumulator valve? Why use the stock line bias spring in the accumulator valve?

Accumulator valve allows pressure to be applied on the backside of the accumulators based on throttle position. Basically makes shifts firmer with heavier throttle. Larger diameter makes it more aggressive as does a stiffer spring.

If you study the hydraulics of it, you'll see that it gets its throttle signal after the line bias valve, meaning the act of blocking or stiffening the line bias valve will have an effect on accumulator pressure without changing the accumulator valve setup. You can also feed the valve a straight tv signal without blocking line bias if you relocate one hole in the spacer plate. I don't know why you'd need to do that but it's possible. Testing accumulator pressure with different setups is on my "someday" list but I haven't had the time.
