80 lb injectors and E85

Maximum of 14 amps by itself, maximum of 9 amps in-series feeding a downstream pump.

Hm. Probly just stick with boosting the Bosch. The BAP says it's operating rating is 15 amps with 20 amp max internal circuit breaker. Bosch says the 957 pump pulls a max of 10 amps...I don't really want to find out the hard way(under boost) that the two pumps together are too much load for the BAP:eek::cool:.

Before upgrading my fuel pump, I would max out the injectors at 18 lbs of boost on my 4.1

Now with my new Denso, I have much more head room.

I just tested and boosted up to 25 lbs at 75% DC.

my mods are listed in my sig.

You should upgrade the pump first and see whats possible before changing to the 120s...I dunno about anyone else but my eyes will be glued to the screen lol...

IF you can wait Bob I'm in the process of getting a Stainless outlet fitting made for the Bosch 044 so it will fit much easier in our tanks. Should be ready early Sept as I'm going this route now.

I vote for this one too!!!:D

Stick an 044 in there and see how far the 80s will take you.

How many LPH will the Bosch 044 do? There's a modified denso that will do 300 LPH.

At the typically specified 43.5 psi, a Bosch 044 will do 290 LPH. The Denso -1020 is almost 300 LPH at the same point. But 43.5 psi is pretty much a useless number.

We need flow info where our engines are doing business, like 70 psi (45 psi base plus 25 psi boost). At 70 psi, the 044 is 265 LPH, the Denso is only 235 LPH. That's almost 100 more hp that the 044 will support.

The fall-off of the Denso at higher pressure is no doubt due to it's bypass valve. If somone were able to find a way to modify this and then re-test, we might just have something then......

Is this chart way off base then?

Bosch and Lucas Fuel pumps

Friday it begins, Stainless is in and we setup the machine. I have an extra fuel sender and it looks like the 044 will fit in the existing opening for the fuel sock so it should double clamp to the return tube and just barely slip under the outlet tube where the 5/16 hose goes.;)

Bosch and Lucas Fuel pumps

No. But it does not paint the whole picture. It only gives the minimum requirement the pump must meet at one operating point. For example, the 044 has to meet 200 LPH at 72 psi. If you look the flow rate vs pressure chart for the pump, you will see the actual performance far exceeds that.

extender for e85

So, turbobob....

Does this mean you are now programming and selling E85 only extender chips??
