Spent most of the day with the family. Buuuut some progress. Pushrods came in Fri. Oil pump cover blueprinted and installed. And oil pan and headers too! Using ARP bolts in most places and they look way better than the stockers.

Very nice looking work!

Slowly trying to finish the engine up. Theres a lot of prep when putting parts together that have been powdercoated. I broke a bolt so had to drill that out. Then the cam sensor o ring was too big so it would not seat. But all of thats conquered. The engine is primed and I am working on the intake. Then I need to get Scotts tranny ready to bolt up. The Bison built turbo is installed. I like to use tranny pump washers under the bolts that go onto powdercoated surfaces.

Here ya go Scott the engine is done. I under estimated how long it takes to put all the little detail items in place. I will say this Mofo is pretty! Should be plenty fast. Enjoy the pics.

Getting closer to droppin body back on chassis. Had a buddy come out and help today. Thanks Steve!

I got the rear suspension done with the exception of holes for brackets for H&R bar. This is best on a lift. Exhaust/dp/dump pipe installed. Few more brackets and most of the power steering reinstalled.

Installed new condensor...rad..and trans cooler. Started to put hvac box back together. Then ran out of time:)

Another storm coming in tonite. Looks like I may be home Thrus and Fri, gonna get a good jump on this weekends body drop!

I am getting real close to putting the body on the frame. All I need to do is put the cushions on the chassis and lower away.

I used todays snow day to get the chassis done. Pte SLIC fits great. Nice and square not crooked like a lot I have seen. The one issue I have is it hits to RF frame brace. I will re evaluated that once I can get the chassis in the air.

Got the engine bay already. Cut off the factory troublesome fuseable links and installed the Casper's kit. Also redid the grounds. I will be moving those from the head to the intake stud.

Inner fendars back on and bolted up. We are ready to rock!

I did have another issue with the SLIC it hits the oil filter housing. Actually the lower mounting stud did. Took a grinder to the aluminum housing and that solved that.

The pic of the rusty relay is the fan delay relay that we remove cause it kills the battery often. This one was rusted inside.

It is difficult to reflect adequately how my brother and I are impressed with your attention to detail Steve. I wish the snow did not prevent me from getting up to your shop today. I do not know if the one's following this build are really paying attention to your passion regarding to the detail that you have put forth into this build. You are a tribute to the heritage of the Buick Grand National without a doubt. Life is fleeting, and given the opportunity for those of us that have resonated with cars, especially the gift of intersecting with the result of Buick engineers having been given the marching orders that we all have benefited from, it is without a doubt that I tip my hat to you, having personally been privileged to observing your passion, and your gift that is so uniquely applied to my brothers GN. As I shared before, you have been afforded a blank canvas, and I have been fortunate to be able to experience this build, thru video in the reception of this car via Cross Country transport, thru personal delivery to your shop. I am amazed, not only at your ability to fill every free moment with this project, but at the attention to detail.
I cannot express my excitement regarding my own Astro-Roof Grand National , which will follow my brothers build. In life there is value added to an experience, and this experience that is fueled by your talents and passion is beyond description. Kudos to you, not only in performing that which you have, but in being able to take the time to document this process via pictures. Along with my videos, it will probably be one of the better documented rebirths of a Grand National since the awesome impact of the Black Air Video. Not to blow too much " hot air" in your direction...I would be amiss if I did not express my heartfelt observations and reflections regarding our privilege to be part of this experience. Those of you out there following this build, would be well advised to look at Steve a bit closer. You will find few more capable, and even fewer that walked the walk. He is just not talk.

Thanks guys. I don't spend all my time working on it...LOL...winter leaves little projects outdoors. Spring is coming pool will need to be opened and firewood cut and spilt so I will slow down.:)

T'was the nite before the body goes back on the chassis....loose ends all tied up. Ready for tomorrow!
