We are reunited. Only took about 30-40 mins to get it all situated. Learned a few tricks for the next one. The #3 body bushing is oriented differently the others.
Got the new H&R sway bar set-up. Started to connect various things underneath.
Looks like 3.5 in Pte up pipe is touching the hood pad. Not sure what the fix is on that yet. Still got along way to go.

E-brake cable hooked back up and adjusted. Fuel pump assy installed into the new gas tank. Tank installed. Gotta run the hotwire and hook up the 3 lines above the exhaust. Almost ready to move onto the engine bay.

Thanks Steve for allowing me to be part of the experience. Dropping the body on the frame was a work of art...having marked the position of the rolling chassis and only having to shift it about an inch or so was pretty remarkable. Then improvising the special tool to shift the body and align it on the frame was very innovative. It is very satisfying to be aware of the fact that I was fortunate to be part of the re-uniting of this awesome body to the build you performed on the rolling frame. My family enjoyed reviewing the video that evening, of which I had taken before the drop, during the body mount adventure, and after the process was accomplished was quite rewarding. To those of you following this build, and wondering about Steve's attention to detail, wonder no more. The application of the body mounts, the precision that was put into lowering the body and insuring NOTHING was put in a bind or scraped, was awesome to be a part of. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to detail, and I was very much impressed with Steve's checks and our communication as it took place. When you have the passion for these cars, this rebirth was just that.

Great views, awesome progress. In the pic 6 of 10 near the lower rad hose, is that encapsulated line a series feed to the aux trans cooler, using both the radiator and the aux cooler? Power master pics look very good. Fuel relay for the hot wire feed, is this prone to weather/water permeation? (especially being at the rear left quarter and road water thrown up from the LR tire.
Expanding on our conversation the other day, always very cognizant about moisture invasion. Especially with the picture of the fan delay relay rust from the previous pics. Was there an available protective overhead shield that could be put over this fan delay relay to prevent the water invasion? I recall reading something towards this type of solution.
Steering shaft looks good. Since it does not have a rag joint, does it telegraph up the shaft? Did not know if the rag joint acted like a vibration damper. As you know I have one ready for you for mine, but just curious.
On any of the above, excuse my 'ignorance'...my curiosity gets the better of me. I do not learn if I just sit here pulling air.

Yes thats aux trans cooler plumed after the rad cooler.
Fuel relay is sealed, no cover that I am aware of, have the same on my cars. 8+years same relay no issue. This car should not be driven in the rain anyways.
Steering shaft yes rag joint acts like a damper, will this shaft transmit more road feel...Yes, as will ploy mounts, poly rear suspension, poly crossmember bushings.
Thanks for the feedback Steve. Understand about not driving in rain...in a perfect world. Just picturing being at a Cruise-in on a Saturday afternoon, down in Williamston, North Carolina (Dairy Queen, anywhere from 100 to 150 cars) every third Saturday April to Oct. and getting caught driving back and the inevitable rain. Yes, with the build you are doing on the 47K GN for my brother, I cannot picture plowing thru road crap, but it happens. Good to know you have had your relay on for 8+ years. Thinking forward when that day happens regarding mine after your magic.

Steve, I transferred the video from my phone (that you sent) to my desktop PC, with very good speakers and audio. When you went back to the rear, the exhaust was true GN and throaty. I will embed that into the documentary that we are going to do. Definitely wanted to capture that first 'life moment' you sent today. Might be able to transfer it directly from your phone when we get together, (to capture the higher quality of your recording) and I have some editing software, however, all in all congrats on your awesome build coming to life. Gotta nurture it now, but with all you had going in such a short period of time, you are quite the 'one man show'. Thanks
Here's a little update. Slow progress this week few other things that needed doing now that car is movable. As always bunches of little things pop up with a new build much less a frame off.
I am not happy with rear end, so I need to play with the pattern a bit more. Saturday project!
New powder coated alternator did not charge. Thought about if for a few days before I did anything. Figure that out today...just hit me like a ton of bricks. Everything is powdercoated...no ground to alt case. Case grounds on tensioner, tensioner on asses bracket, bracket on block. Few checks with a dvom confirm. Ran a heavy guage ground from case to battery and charging!!! Now I need to make a cable and hide it from view. No big deal...lol.
Lots of work left in the interior..well actually barely started on it...maybe Sunday.
