275/60/15 Question?

I put a 15 inch wheel on the rear, and the tire Im using are the New Nitto 501 Drag Radial 275/60/15... My question is what's a safe tire pressure on the street... I have 27.5 psi in them now, and problem is I jumped on it around 40-50 mph and car lost traction and Im thankful it was late at night.

On the street with the kind of power your laying down I doubt any DR would hook

Can't hook anything with 27 psi on the street.drop down to 18 and see how the car responds.I have seen guys run really low pressures on multiple cars that were setup for racing on the street but cruising around and hooking you will need to be around that 16/20 psi.

Run your drag radials with the same pressure you would run at the track, usually 16 to 18 psi. More air will push out the center and wear it faster, then when you drop air at the track, the tires will cup. Drag radials arent unstable on the street at 18psi.
