I had the Service Engine Soon light come on this week. Scanmaster reads clean and all the values are checking out. When I use the little tool to get the code, I get the blinking lights for Code 42 (Ignition Circuit Open or Grounded).

I'll search the wires on that end, but I'm stumped as to why I'm showing a problem in one place and not the other. Hoping that info helps someone diagnose it a little quicker. Thanks
 
code 42 is when the white EST bypass wire is open and thats something that rarely is the wiring , it usually occurs inside the ignition control module and is very common on aftermarket modules like the wells brand
 
Thanks for the reply. I started pulling things apart and found a wire to the ECM had a splice in it that had come apart.. Reran the wire to make it whole, plugged it back in, runs like a champ now.
