I have an Art Carr 9" non-lockup converter for 2004r that is 3000 stall for sale. This came out of my gn which got a little over heated and would not shift down into 1st or second gear, it is always in 3rd or 4th gear(think a couple of clutches might have fused together). Anyway Art who is now with California performance transmission said he would rebuild it for $225. I am looking to get $250(I paid around $800 in 2003). BTW the car has been garaged since 2005 until now. Make offer on the trans, obviously it needs rebuilt. I can post pics if interested.

I may be interested. I am in Long Beach, CA. just a couple pics would be good..BFR code, etc. Hey thanks, Bill

Sorry for the delay on the pics bill. I have the trans at my shop and have just been busy the last few days. I will take them and post tomorrow.

Here are some pics of trans and converter.

It is still for sale $250. Could probably run without getting rebuilt, just st make sure that you flush out old fluid. Although.I would send to art and have him rebuild it for $225. Was working with the bad trans when I removed it. Ended up going 4l80e.

Make me an offer. I am located in Colorado. I'm not sure how much it will be to ship.

Is the converter good to go or does it need to be rebuilt?

It was working but the trans did go bad with it on. The trans did not blow any years as fat as I can tell, I just think some clutches are fused or something but I'm no expert on transmissions. There was no metal or anything in the transmission pan but something was definitely burnt. So that being said the converter was still working and I think that I out could possibly get away with using it as is. Just make sure you install a non-lockup valve in your trans.

If anything changes, let me know. Even if I find one now, I may still need an extra core trans. Bill
