Just re-installed my 200 4r after replacing band, direct, and forward clutches. Haven't filled with fluid yet - we found an o-ring on the floor that is the same size as the front o-ring on the turbine shaft.
This o-ring fits the shaft groove tight enough that we can't see knocking it off while installing the torque converter (took a few tries working under the car), but aren't comfortable not knowing where it came from.
What will it cause if the turbine shaft front o-ring is missing? Any possible damage other than tcc locking or un-locking?
If not, we'll just test drive it and then make the decision to remove the transmission and torque convertor to replace it if it is actually missing.
(or temporarily disconnecting the tc solenoid to keep it from locking up).
We did pull the tc solenoid down to check the o-ring on it - it's still there.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
