Hi all,
Looking to sell my clean original paint 1987 Buick GN. Car has just over 21,400 miles on it (I do drive it so this number will go up). It has a clean car fax (no crashes, clean title in hand). It is a G80 hardtop car with CS2. The factory paint is in really good shape (for 80’s GM paint). There is minimal checking and the pillars are not cracked. The car is mostly stock and very original. It has Turbo Tweaks’s chip, 60# injectors, his fuel pump, K&N cone filter, Casper’s Hotwire kit, adjustable FPR (Kirban), and a Kirban FP gauge. It has rear seat braces and front frame braces. The front bumper filler is new, the rear is original. It has vacuum brakes. Other than that, and the maintenance items listed below, it is stock and original (including cat and exhaust). It has a Scanmaster G and a boost gauge. The interior is mint and just about perfect. The headliner is drooping (I have a new highway stars headliner, and I will be installing this week). The car is ready to go and needs nothing. I have saved all original parts (except injectors and old fuel pump).
Hood struts @ 20,009 miles
Caspers Fuel Pump Hot Wire Kit @ 20,009 miles
Vacuum Brake conversion @ 20,020 miles
ScanMaster G @ 20,020 miles
Plugs & Wires (Kirban) @ 20,020 miles
Oil, Filter, and grease suspension 20,020 miles
Boost Gauge @ 20,775miles
Silicon Vacuum Lines @ 20,775 miles
Rear Seat Braces @ 20,775 miles
Front frame braces @ 21,221 miles

The car comes with a nice fitting car cover (Highway Stars) and all the original parts. Also has a few extra oil filters, a trans filter, and the original spark plugs. Trans, coolant, and rear end fluids have less than 3000 miles on them.
Located in Central Massachusetts
The price is negotiable within reason.

True, Dennis Kirban sold a customers car in June, I believe, a GN with 27,500 miles for just under 39k. So 44,900 for 21k miles is not unreasonable. The guy on Bat should’ve held out for more than 38k.

My mistake. Should’ve looked at the Bat add completely. It’s the same guy here, I believe. Reserve not met at 38k. He should definitely hold out. Prices are only going higher.

Yup that me! I had set the reserve at 45k. A 1986 with similar miles (but a lot more mods) had gone for 51k a few weeks before, so I figured I was in the ball park with the reserve price.

Mine was the 86 with 8k miles that went off right before yours on July 3 that did not reach the reserve. That 86 that went for $52k is an anomaly and I question the legitimacy of that auction TBH.

Nice car good luck with the sale. IMO until they are worth at LEAST what a nice avg restored Chevelle SS is worth!

What happened with your 86? Still have it? I’m not desperate to sell (I really love the car, have always wanted one, but I’m looking to fund some other projects… large stone wall, flight training, wife wants a classic full size blazer/bronco/wagoneer).

People think prices on GNs are nuts have you looked at Broncos and classic Blazers are going for on BaT!

I still have my car, I have avoided discussing it I don't want to poopoo in your for sale thread with my junk lol.

I am in the same boat as you with liking the car and wanting to keep it. But look at my signature I simply dont have the room to keep them all and want to redo my fast GN this winter. I found reasonable climate controlled storage for the 86 GN and probably going to put it away and keep it for a little while or at least till next spring. Right now it is listed and I have had a number of offers very close to want I would take but havent had anyone step up yet. I am debating taking it to Fall Carlise. I have till 9-16 to register it for the auction. If I can get the right crowd I feel it will sell for sginificantly more than I would take in a personal deal. Personally I feel the GNs are still really cheap compared to what other stuff is getting these days.
