I was looking at this car ,and rpo sticker in the trunk doesnt show any code about collum shifter. Didnt think it was a available option, my 87 GN has the center console shifter that they all have, ran carfax and no thefts or Salvage title, the guy said it was a special order. Just wondering if anyone has heard of that. Maybe it was a turbo t special order. That's all I can figure but it says WE2 on the rpo sticker other than that everything else seems in order but the center console is gone too. ?

I have never seen a GN with a column shifter. Hopefully others that have owned or parted out these cars can chime in. I have seen a WE4 that had a column shifter that looked identical to a GN.

I was just wondering what to think any input good bad indifferent doesnt matter just looking for a opinion, can pick this up for 10 it's a 86 whith 98,000 but carfax and a couple of other reports say no thefts ,Salvage title etc.the collum shifter works fine but its definitely different RPO sticker is legitimate it says WE2 and car drives solid.dint know what to make my 87 national has the correct shifter, but looking to pick another one up.if I don't show up whith the money tomorrow deals off.

Thanks again for your insight on this car it's been listed 7 times on Ebay in the last few months, and sold and then relisted

Probably started out as a black Turbo T and someone figured they'ld "make it a GN" and added the interior and trunk lid. It may be an Ok car but it's not a real GN.

another true test is the cowl tag under the hood on drivers side just under wipers
an 86 should have 82 B and 87 Gn will have 82 C under paint code 19L 19U
should have 4GJ47 above that on 87
mine has CF5 at bottom bc of astro roof

Any pics of the engine serial number, trans tag and does the speedo have the markings for a column shift car? (PR(D)D21) Does the vin on the dash match the vin on the RPO code in the trunk? Does it have the right 8.5 rear end in it? With the G80 it should have the post tag on it and not the 7.5” rear. The car doesn’t look bad in the pics but a mutt isn’t going to be worth as much as a pure breed. That looks like a Florida transporter (dealer tag)? Where is it located?
