1980 gauge cluster removal

I am trying to fix the lights in the gauge cluster and am wondering how to get it to come loose. The fasteners are all out. I believe the speedo cable is holding it on? If so how would it come off?

To get the cable off you need to reach from under the dash to push the clip that holds it on. While pushing the clip pull the cable loose.

Got told a cool trick, undid the speedo cable at the cruise control and whalla - out pops the gauge cluster!
