1980 Century Limited turbo sedan check engine light on

Yes, there's a connector under the dash. Should be on the drivers side. It's not like the 81 up connector. More square in shape. You'll need an actual scan tool to get the codes out of it.

I have not been able to locate the connector yet. I found something in the owner's manual (page 2-15) that says:

"If the engine light stays on with the engine running, it may be caused by a) the oil pressure being low or the switch circuit being open, b) the gage or choke heater fuse having blown, or c) the electric choke switch being disconnected or defective."

I have a complete set of factory service manuals. It talks about how to read the codes from a California car with an ECM when the check engine light is on, but mentions nothing that I can find for a 49-state car without an ECM.
