i just bought a grand prix GTP with a bunch of bolt ons.the car runs real strong but would like a little more.
I was wondering if the 1.9 rockers are worth it.i do not plan on doing a cam in the future.the car has 120k on it and has the following from what i can tell.headers, gutted cat with a sim, tune with buttun to firm shift, cold air intake, cat back exhaust, all gauges to monitor systems,3.4 pulley the car does not have any KR at wot.I was thinking the rockers should be my next mod.or maybe meth injection and a smaller pulley.let me hear some of your opinions.
thanks jim

you will like the 1.9's, if you keep your eyes peeled you can find a set used . The zzp modified stock ones are pretty popular bang for the buck with a new set of springs. You may be able to drop a pulley size after rockers ...

not a lot of positive results from meth on 3800 sc but there are a few that run it and like it. I would think someone with experience using it on TB's would be able to figure it out fine lol

Thanks for the info.the reason i thought about the meth is because of how well it works on my gn.if anyone else has changed there rockers out please chime in and let me know is it worth it.

I ran meth injection for a while YEEEEARS ago.. Never got great results, but was spray before the blower (Via TB Adapter) .. all it did really is blow the coating off the rotors in the blower.
Ran my best times with it disabled back then.

Rockers are nice, but if doing cam, just do the cam instead and keep stock rockers.

Intercooler will help the best, such as one from ZZP. Full size, not the short stack garbage.

If e85 is in town, up the injectors, possible ugprade to something like a racetronix fuel pump and rewire, and pully down.

You can get these to deep 12's with no cam, no turbo, no nitrous on e85 setup with stock rockers, stock unported blower, stock tb, blah.
Might need a good trans build tho. But thats the case with any of these setups.

What do you think it takes to get a 2 door gtp in the 12s with good tires?

For 12s not to super much really... for most part can go this route. Just using some links for things and some comments.
Some things maybe a bit over kill but nothing is super hard to deal with. This is pretty much setup a few of my buds have basically
ran to get into the 12s.. some with a little more.. some with a little less. Some items I have there
more for the purpose of adding a bit of reliability due to the age of the parts.

http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/432-ZZP-Stainless-Headers.aspx <--- also insure to get rid of the U-Bend in the exhaust..
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/104-Intercooler.aspx <--- don't bother with short stack, it sucks. Get the intake manifold option to keep PCV working.
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/1024-90-Valve-Springs.aspx <-- only for fact that old ones wear out so might as well upgrade
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/175-Rollmaster-Timing-Set.aspx <-- double roller, not single. As single chains snap eventually. Required? no.. but if got some $ to spare and time.
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/1322-2-5-97-03-Grand-Prix-Stainless-Catback-Exhaust.aspx <-- can source a local exhaust but you get the idea here
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/615-ZZP-3800-Cold-Air-Intake.aspx <--- or just run an open cone filter or make your own air box
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/90-Modular-Pulley-System.aspx <--- get some pullys with it.. 3.4" to start with.. work way down to like a 2.8-2.9" if on e85.

http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/112-42-5-Lucas-Injectors-6.aspx <--- if on 93 - replace old worn injectors
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/111-Siemens-Deka-60-Injectors-6.aspx <--- if on e85 - replace old worn injectors

http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.asp?ic=FPWH-015&eq=&Tp= <-- easy rewire kit
http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.asp?ic=FPA-007A&eq=&Tp= <-- goes along with above. Replace the tired old pump with a good one that also keeps the Venturi pump.

For the trans.. thats another beast.. it could last you awhile.. Could blow first run.
Yer gonna have some major torque off the line. So most likely just have to use s0mething like Hoosier QTP that can fit on the stock 16x6 rims. Going to want something like
1.9x 60 foots. Otherwise just gonna be spinning.

who is the best tuner to send my pcm to have tuned for e85.

who is the best tuner to send my pcm to have tuned for e85.

Could join one of the many facebook group for the 3800 and possibly find someone in your area.

Myself, I just have my own tuner and do the work. If have the dime, recommend getting something like a HPTuners and go from there.

Always come in handy, and don't have to wait on someone else.

I wouldn't bother with canned tunes as once past a few mods... and adding e85 and what not and every vehicle being different, its best to have
your car tuned on the spot for the best results and reduce risk of getting a canned tune way off, and pop a piston or something.
