Just alittle warning if anyone has never done a top engine clean on a 100k mile engine....maybe we shouldnt... I got a piece of carbon stuck on a valve and ended up burning up that valve and costing $1100 (with alky kit install :D ) to get my car running good again. Big thanks to Anderson...

Okay here is a long story, while adding the new stuff I did the top engine cleaning and while it was running it suddenly quit so far this is what I have done 1) replaced camshaft sensor with new one and caspers led cap 2)new spark plugs 3)new spark plug wires 4)changed oil to royal purple...

Trying to install caspers cam sensor cap .... I was turning the engine over by hand and using a hose felt the compression in #1 cylinder (drivers side closet to front of car) so I check to the timing mark and it is not lined up so I keep turning by hand to line up to the 0 mark and it seems...

:confused: Maybe its the hangover or the hot sun... but I cannot figure out how to secure the gbody dual fans with the aluminum radiator, the new top plate just holds the ac lines in place and barely the radiator..... there are side taps to the fans but the radiator does not have any extra bumps...

May need a buick knowlegdable mechanic in the York,PA area if I cant get figure out what I messed up... thanks

Well I finally got around to it and put some seafoam in to clean things up before changing plugs and oil... after hooking back up the up pipe some of the stuff spilled down ... I got everything back together and started it back up and it started smoking good ... reved it up a couple a times and...

I discovered today that one of the bolts fell out of the sway bar and it was partially hanging down... I pulled the rest of the bolts out and discovered that one of the bolt holes is missing the threads. So how do I go about putting a new bolt in to hold the sway bar in place

Throwing a code 34 and cant get it to clear, check all connections and reset the computer and still comes in. It is an older 3" maf and the translator is old too. Thinking about upgrading the translator to a newer style but want one that will play nice with the alky kit that is about to be...

Would you see knock on casper's led knock gauge or would the scanmaster register it first..... wondering if I should keep the knock gauge or just rely on the scanmaster

Wondering if anyone has a pic of the engine strap installled, got hold of a used one , need the bolt too homedepot should have that though
