As it states have a no start problem hooked up scanner got a code 12 no distributor reference pulse anybody have this happen before.DO not want to throw parts at it what could be the problem?
Just got this transmission for a back up :cool: Would like to know what hard parts I would need for a mild rebuild.Plan on going high 10- low 11sec.THIS is going behind a GN.
Found a 8.5 rear in a chevy station wagon mid 80's:eek: Has anyone used this rear in a regal?Could not measure at the time,but it looks like it could work maybe.Any input would help.

Has anyone used one of thes units in a turbo application.Its the one used on the n/a v6.I have been told this unit can be built just like the 200r4.This could be a alternate to the 400 swap.These units are a dime a dozen in the yards.
What parts does it take to make either the 484 or 291 casting live in the high 10 sec range?My plan of attack is a steel crank,block girdle and or steel caps.Not to sure on pistons,cam roller or flat tappet,heads :confused: Any ideas appreciated :D
How many people are going mid to low tens on ported stock heads?Also who's ported heads are you using example VPE,Frank G, Champion,Nick Micale.Anyone using stock valves or bigger valves?
Anyone using one these transmissions behind a turbo v6? I have heard these are used in bracket racing.Any trans builders on board has built one for a turbo application?
Plan on replacing the stock axles out and getting a new clucth pak.Is it possible to use 28 spline moser axles with the stock posi unit.Would this stand up to a 10 sec run with hard launches?Or should I purchase an eaton posi unit.
