    CK Performance Full Billet 2004r

What did you want the shift points to be? After getting it thoroughly warmed up the fluid viscosity can change the shift points slightly.

    CK Performance Full Billet 2004r

I feel pretty strongly about putting a pressure gauge on a TV operated trans during initial install. Over the years of building, selling, and installing these units I've learned that a pressure gauge will save the builder and the customer a lot of grief. Simply put, it's critical to the...

    1000hp what trans to use

We have had very good luck building 4L80Es and retaining lockup using converters from a couple of different suppliers. Even on some smaller combo using turbos.

    1000hp what trans to use

Yes. I make a TH400 auto/manual VB with transbrake. Works like a typical auto VB with manual downshift control and has transbrake function.

    "200-4R Tricks" Jakes Performance.

I meant to mention in my last post your D3 constant pressure, D4 TV is the ideal method. I haven't sat down to figure that one out, too much time in the 4L80, 400, and 4R70 studies.

    "200-4R Tricks" Jakes Performance.

I put the trick out there for free, so those who want it can use it. I also don't recommend it for daily driver usage typically but it's a good option on some of the harder hitting combos. It works extremely well with the dual feed.

    A little different beast - TH425

The band on in neutral is fine. Yes it will release fine, you can increase the spring tension if you feel the need. This is the same way a TCI and Hipster and many other transbrakes work for a TH400. I'm not sure exactly what you have going with the modulator. Plug the pinhole. You should...

    A little different beast - TH425

I may have a solution for you. Do you have a picture of the manual valve?

    Lets talk about teflon rings.

Teflon seals contain glass filler. The glass filler eats aluminum. They work great on an iron or steel surface. Think of factory applications, the 200-4R being one. They installed teflon seals in all the other locations but not on the aluminum center support. On the center support location of...

    2004R Bands

I don't use a "red" anything friction wise in a trans anymore. Especially an Alto red band.

Center Support Teflon Rings where to get? Which other trans uses correct ring?

4L80E center support rings work well BUT they create more wear on the aluminum 200-4R center support. Better for the drum, not so good on the center support. Iron rings work fine in this application. A 2-3 flare problem isn't caused by the type of ring here, unless you have wear on the direct drum.

Newly installed CK shift kit results

Definitely check the TV cable. What servo are you using? The Art Carr kit wasn't a bad kit, so I don't think you'll see a huge difference between the AC and CK kit. Chris and I have our differences of opinion but his 200 kit is as good as there is available on the market in one box.

how much hp does a 200-4r use to operate

It also depends more on how fast your car accelerates and what rear gear ratio than anything else.

    4L80E vs Gearvendors

I highly doubt it. The GV has an internal pump that sucks power all the time. At the instant of the 3-4 shift it may be more efficient, but once it's in 4th and everything is speed matched, I doubt the GV is as efficient.

    4L80E vs Gearvendors

Definitely take a ride in a 400/GV car vs. a 4L80E car. I would say the 4L80E has better converter options, it can be configured in lockup  You can do a 4L80E converter in just about any configuration as a TH400. Non-billet, billet, 9.5, 10, 11" single disc, multi-disc, etc. The...

    6 speed Rossler TH400 2000 HP capable w/pics

Not really. With a 4L80E and standalone controller you get a lockup converter (more flexibility with stall), the same overall weight, less overall length for better driveline angles, more efficient setup (GV gas a pump internally), you don't have to change the fluid in the 4L80E every 3000...
